Glitter
Glitter is a service that keeps litter and trash off streets, sidewalks, and storm drains in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since launching in 2021, their pay-what-you-can clean block service model brings neighbors together to fund weekly cleaning and was designed as a solution to the persistent trash problem. They give Philadelphia residents an affordable way to support a clean block, while providing a living wage to cleaners who need the work.
What began as a small experiment has grown into a scalable solution: a diverse and growing team of Glitter cleaners help maintain hundreds of city blocks every week. In just a few short years, they have demonstrated the power that a consistently clean block can have on neighborhoods and the cleaners who care for them.
Green Amendments for the Generations
The Mission of Green Amendments For The Generations is to ensure every person and community across the United States is able to experience the health, quality of life, education, joy and economic prosperity provided by a clean, safe and healthy environment; to end environmental racism; and to help ensure that nature itself is able to thrive, by constitutionally empowering all people to secure and enforce their inalienable human right to pure water, clean air, a stable climate, healthy ecosystems and environments.
Green Amendments For The Generations aims to advance a national, state by state, Green Amendment movement and to ensure that governments across the nation at the local and state level honor the rights of all people to pure water, clean air, a stable climate and healthy environments in the laws they enact, the decisions they make, and the actions they take by securing the passage of enforceable environmental rights amendments in the Bill of Rights section of every constitution - state and federal - and ensuring their strong and meaningful enforcement.

Their view is “hat having first-hand experience helping to remove litter from the island in order to be properly recycled is one of the best ways to raise awareness on the environmental impact of our use and misuse of plastics. Trash 2 Treasure
A small, and relatively new nonprofit organization, Trash 2 Treasure is founded by Terrill Haigler. Terrill is a young social entrepreneur, former sanitation worker, and has embarked on a mission to clean up neighborhoods in Philadelphia. Terrill expects to collect 10-12 tons of trash every single day, and plans to hire at-risk youth for workforce development.
I met Terrill a couple of years ago in Philadelphia and was captivated by his enthusiasm and dedication. He has 40K+ Instagram followers under his nickname Ya Fav Trashman, which shows the immense power of community service combined with social media outreach.
TrashMob Eco
TrashMob is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington State that provides a mobile app and website for tracking trash cleanups.
